un número que sustituyes en una desigualdad para comprobar qué lado del límite forma parte de la solución.
Ejemplo
Para x + 3 > 5, prueba con 0: 0 + 3 > 5 es falso, así que el lado donde está el 0 no se sombrea.

test point — a number you put into an inequality to check which side of the boundary is part of the solution.
For x + 3 > 5, test 0: 0 + 3 > 5 is false, so the side with 0 is not shaded.
