perpendicular (\perp)
perpendiculares (\perp)
describes lines that meet at a right angle (90^\circ); on a graph, their slopes are negative reciprocals.
Example
y = 2x + 1 and y = -\tfrac{1}{2}x + 2 are perpendicular: 2 \times (-\tfrac{1}{2}) = -1.
In Spanish
perpendiculares (\perp) — describe rectas que se cruzan formando un ángulo recto (90^\circ); en una gráfica, sus pendientes son recíprocos negativos.
y = 2x + 1 y y = -\tfrac{1}{2}x + 2 son perpendiculares: 2 \times (-\tfrac{1}{2}) = -1.
