opuesto (opuestos)
the number that is the same distance from 0 but has the other sign; a number plus its opposite is 0.
Example
The opposite of 8 is -8; if x = -6, then -x = 6.
In Spanish
opuesto (opuestos) — el número que está a la misma distancia del 0 pero tiene el otro signo; un número más su opuesto da 0.
El opuesto de 8 es -8; si x = -6, entonces -x = 6.
