Math glossary

height of the triangle

altura del triángulo

the straight distance from a triangle's base to the opposite corner; in a triangular prism it is not the prism's height.

Example

A tent's triangle end has base 6 ft and height 4 ft, and the tent is 10 ft long: V = \tfrac{1}{2}(6)(4)(10) = 120\text{ ft}^3.
