This practice test is built like the real GED® Science test.
- 34 questions, 90 minutes, in one section. The timer runs for the whole test.
- Questions cover life science (about 40%), physical science (about 40%) and Earth and space science (about 20%). Most questions are based on a short passage, an experiment, a data table, a graph or a diagram. Read the passage carefully: several questions may share it.
- An on-screen TI-30XS MultiView calculator is available for every question. When you need a formula, it is given in the passage or the question.
- Question types include multiple choice, fill-in-the-blank, drop-down, drag-and-drop, select-all and hot spot (click on part of a graph or diagram).
- There is no penalty for guessing. Answer every question, even if you are not sure.
- Use Flag for review on any question you want to come back to. Before time runs out, use the review screen to check flagged and unanswered questions.
- Pace yourself: you have a little over 2½ minutes per question on average.
The timer keeps running if you leave the page, just like on the real test.
