- Part 1 · 5 questions · No calculator
- Part 2 · 41 questions · calculator allowed
This is the most challenging practice test in the set. It is built like the real GED® Mathematical Reasoning test, with a higher share of multi-step questions.
- 46 questions, 115 minutes. The timer runs for the whole test.
- Part 1 (questions 1–5): no calculator. Once you move on to Part 2, you cannot return to Part 1, so answer and review these five questions before you continue.
- Part 2 (questions 6–46): calculator allowed. You can use the on-screen TI-30XS MultiView calculator and the formula sheet for every question in this part.
- Question types include multiple choice, fill-in-the-blank, drop-down, drag-and-drop, select-all and hot spot (click on a graph or figure).
- There is no penalty for guessing. Answer every question, even if you are not sure.
- Use Flag for review to mark questions you want to come back to. Before time runs out, use the review screen to check flagged and unanswered questions in Part 2.
- Pace yourself: about 2½ minutes per question. Many questions here take several steps, so if one is taking too long, make your best guess, flag it, and move on.
When you finish, you will see your score, the correct answers and a full step-by-step explanation for every question.
The timer keeps running if you leave the page, just like on the real test.
