This full-length practice test is built like the real GED® Mathematical Reasoning test. Treat it like test day: find a quiet place and time yourself.
- 46 questions, 115 minutes in total. The timer runs for the whole test.
- Part 1 — Questions 1–5: no calculator. These cover number sense, fractions, exponents, roots, order of operations and absolute value. Once you move on to Part 2, you cannot return to Part 1, so check these answers before you continue.
- Part 2 — Questions 6–46: calculator allowed. Use the on-screen TI-30XS MultiView calculator and the formula sheet (button at the top of the screen) whenever you need them.
- Question types include multiple choice, fill-in-the-blank, drop-down, drag-and-drop, select-all and click-on-the-graph (hot spot). Read each question's directions carefully.
- There is no penalty for guessing. Never leave a question blank — eliminate choices you know are wrong and make your best guess.
- Use Flag for review to mark questions you want to revisit. Before time runs out, use the review screen to go back to flagged or unanswered questions in Part 2.
- Pace yourself: about 2½ minutes per question. If you are stuck, flag it and move on.
When the test ends you'll see your estimated score, every answer explained step by step, and the skills to study next. Good luck!
The timer keeps running if you leave the page, just like on the real test.
