the sum of a set of values divided by how many values there are; also called the average.
Example
If three plants grew 4, 6 and 8 cm, their mean growth is (4 + 6 + 8) ÷ 3 = 6 cm.

media / promedio — la suma de un conjunto de valores dividida entre la cantidad de valores; también se llama promedio.
